1. If you help others, you will also more likely to get help by yourself. The A3 forum is a community, where everyone can help each other.
2. Don't give too easy tips, though. Always leave room for individual thinking, because that makes the game. Remember that the levels in Abstractica 3 are meant to be stuck on! Without this stuck-phase, there wouldn't be any game at all!
3. Straight answers are not allowed, and not recommended even in private messages. If you have a question to ask, ask it in the public forum, so that also other players can benefit from that discussion later. Sending tips only via PMs is not recommended, because if everyone does that, the forum is soon dead. We need discussion on the public side to keep this thing alive. So, don't be shy to post there for as many times as you feel like to.
4. Try not to give away "spoilers", i.e. try to avoid including too specific information about the level and your problem solving process. Try to describe it like "when I found IT..." instead of "when I found the secret message in the tip box that said hello world...". Too detailed information can ruin the fun from other players. If you need to include more specific things, you have some options: 1) use white text color with these words so they will not be seen right away, 2) later go and EDIT your message -> remove the spoilers when you have already got help, or 3) use PMs in these occasions.
5. Make sure you post in the correct already existing tips-topic. Do not open up a new thread for your single problem - this way the whole forum would repeat itself time over time in a chaotic structure. Take full benefit of the previous posts in the same topic. New threads can be opened freely at the general section and at the private corner.
6. Read through the tips-topic before asking help. Your problem might have already been discussed.
7. Don't bump up your inquiry before two days has gone by without replies. It is probably noticed, but may take some time before anyone at the forum can come up with some helpful answer to it.
8. Be patient. You may need some time to discuss with other forumers about your problem and they may intentionally give a little bit vague tips at first, but that's part of the game. If you need more exact information in less time, try the extra-tip feature in the game.
9. Use only one member account (no "fake" nicknames) to ask tips.
